PATTERN • SAN JOSE EARTHQUAKES 2022/23 JERSEY
Worked with adidas to use a modified take on their 2020 "Zebra" kit for Manchester United. The jagged pattern, which has roots in the dazzle camouflage on warships of a century ago, lends itself naturally to the theme of Earthquakes and shaken ground. The pattern is large enough that each strip cut for the jersey reveals a different portion of it. No two are exactly the same.

Designed this jock tag using the Quakes' blackletter typeface for SJ and their expanded sans serif for 74, the year of their founding. Concentric shockwaves radiate from the lockup, with this season's slogan next to it.
